A great slow-shutter technique for injecting more excitement and movement into your photos is the zoom burst. This involves zooming a lens with a manual zoom ring from one extreme of its focal length range to the other, during a long, manually timed exposure. The resulting Image is characterized by an explosion of blurred light streaks radiating from a sharper central subject, giving the impression of movement towards the camera.
