How to Shoot Stunning Portraits
When it comes to portraits, it’s easy to hold a preconceived idea that you need expensive digital camera and equipment and professional models in order to get great results. In reality, a little creative vision and a willing subject is really all that you need to get started.
When it comes to getting quality portraits and creative results, correct camera set up is essential. So, before a shoot commences make sure you have set the right white balance for the light source, chosen your shooting mode and the ISO sensitivity. Remember that you’ll often be capturing large areas of skin detail, so if a high ISO value is selected then noise will appear if the shot is not adequately lit. Try set the ISO to a value of 100-200, which is the optimum for most cameras. Most digital cameras’ auto white balance settings are good but, for the best results, set a custom white balance to suit your location and lighting.
