Pentax K-7 for some shows that Pentax have reached their limit as far as resolution is concerned. Or it might as well mean that they plan to launch another model soon with a higher pixel number. Pentax K-7 is competing with some serious rivals in the APS-C-DSLR digital camera domain like Nikon D300, Canon EOS 50D Sonu Alpha A700 and a few others, and its price might seem a little bit steep, but considering it has just launched, it will probably come down in the next few months.

As a Pentax Shooter and one of the early adapter of the best in its class digital camera, i got to pay the premium. I do shoot pictures as an all around type. At home with my soft boxes and umbrellas i always use K10D/K20D on a tripod for portraits type. When I started using K-7 I rarely carry a tripod/monopod coz the stabilization of in body SR of Pentax K-7 is very good, considering it’s more quieter shutter and lesser vibration which gives me a more sharper pictures in hand-held shooting. The AWB of K-7 is excellent but for those who likes to shoot in a WYSIWYG then you have a choice to shoot in Natural Mode.
Things i like most why i’m favoured K-7 as my street snap shooting is, the size and weight plus its pro-grade button main functions that is not buried in the menu. No other brand can rival the capability of pentax K-7 unless you PAY MORE for your dslr, *BUT* as i said about “thing i like most”.
The metal body and stainless steel base made me feel that this K-7 will last longer.
